The U.S. Air Force has officially decided on its new military aircraft trainer jet: Boeing T-7A.
The new jet will replace the Air Force’s aging T-38 airplanes — which first flew in 1959 — and will help train future generations of American military pilots.
Knowing that technology is changing at an increasingly rapid rate, Boeing T-7A was designed to evolve as new technologies, missions and training needs arise.
Inside the cockpit, Boeing T-7A uses modern, high-tech displays and instruments to give Air Force trainees a real-life fighter pilot experience.
While deployed (and armed) fighter aircraft like the F-15 and F/A-18 perform their combat missions, the Air Force uses unarmed trainers and simulators, like T-7A, to ensure pilots have the critical skills and training they need to succeed before embarking to defend our country.
