The Air National Guard 108th Wing’s 141st Air Refueling Squadron has taken a significant step forward with the new KC-46A Pegasus Tanker. This American-made advanced tanker represents the next generation upgrade our military needs.
Air-to-air refueling is a critical force multiplier that helps increase the speed, range, lethality, flexibility, and versatility of combat aircraft. During its first training mission with the KC-46, the 141st Air Refueling Squadron refueled several military jets and returned to base safely.
Col. Joseph W. Leonard, Deputy Commander of the 108th Wing, emphasized the importance of having the latest tanker in their squadron, noting that the KC-46 “provides the right capabilities, at the right time, anywhere in the world the Air Force needs.”
