The new 777X, the largest twin-engine passenger plane in the world, completed its first flight in Everett, Washington.
With a 235 foot wingspan and foldable wingtips, the 777X is not only the largest plane in its class, but the most innovative.
The 777X includes the largest jet engines ever built. The GE9X engines, at 184 inches in diameter, can take the plane over 8,300 miles while using less fuel and producing lower carbon emissions.
The 777X will set a new standard for the overall experience of air travel and transport more passengers than ever before.
While the certification process will likely take over a year, there’s excitement in the air to bring this new commercial jet to market.
