Tell Congress the KC-46 Pegasus is a Must-Have Upgrade for Our Military

America’s refueling tankers extend the operational capabilities of American military bomber and fighter aircraft, but they badly need an upgrade. Our current tankers date all the way back to President Eisenhower – more than 50 years ago!

The KC-46 Pegasus is a game-changing aerial refueling tanker that will extend America’s ability to project power all across the globe.

But Congress is threatening to cut the program and restrict the Air Force’s ability to deliver assets and troops anywhere in the world. We need to make sure our men and women overseas have every resource possible. Let’s give them the support they need.

Tell Congress to Support the KC-46 Pegasus

Thank you for your support for American military and aerospace workers. The United States Air Force fleet of aerial refueling tankers, made up of KC-10s and KC-135s dating back to the 1950s, needs replacing.  These overused aircraft are expensive to maintain and aging out of service – undermining our military’s mission and capabilities.

Your leadership in helping deliver the next-generation KC-46A Pegasus will support American air superiority for decades to come. The military relies on refueling tankers to extend the operational capability of its aircraft and to deliver flexibility to its fleet, including helicopters, troop and cargo transporters, and fighter jets.

Based on a proven commercial aircraft platform, the KC-46 will bring unmatched refueling capabilities, with ultra-modern boom and hose and drogue systems that will expand the range of any military aircraft, anywhere, under any conditions. The KC-46’s advanced threat detection and defensive systems will allow it to operate in any environment with increased survivability to protect American lives. This proven commercial platform will allow the Air Force to leverage the best advances in the private sector to increase the military’s ability to deploy personnel, transport cargo, and evacuate wounded servicewomen and men.
	
Developing a multi-role refueling tanker like the KC-46 with game changing capabilities requires a nationwide manufacturing system. The KC-46 supports nearly 40,000 high-paying jobs and more than 600 aerospace suppliers in 42 states. This production line will continue operating at full speed to deliver the KC-46 to the Air Force as soon as possible thanks to your leadership.

Thank you for standing with America’s servicemen and women and aerospace workers to deliver the KC-46 to the Air Force. Evolving threats and crises around the globe consistently require military intervention that threatens to tax military personnel and resources.
